-          ASES applications for the 2018-2019 school year are now available in the K-2 office after school.

 

Library News:

-          There are a number of 7th graders who have not returned  textbooks and library books. Please return them by this Friday. We need these books back for next year’s 7th graders. Please be responsible and turn them in.  

 

-          8th Graders: We need your books back for next year 8th graders. Please be respectful of this request. This will also follow you to High School and you will start off the year on the No activities List there. Take care of your business now!

 

Club and Team News:

 

-          Attention 8th grade athletes: if you are going to Valley high school next year and plan on participating in a sport, Valley high is having FREE physicals next Tuesday, May 29th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. They will take place in the Wrestling room at Valley High school.   Do not miss out on this opportunity to get a free physical.

-          Friday, May 18 is the last day to dress for PE.  You must clear everything out of your locker.  Please bring a bag to carry your things home.

 

-          The winner of Tuesday Trivia Was Tuoton Saafi.  He knew that China was the first country to use paper money.  Nice Job Tuoton!

-          Year books are on sale during both lunches in Ms. Angie’s office, room D-4.  Supplies are limited and they are selling out fast. They are $25 for a soft cover and $30 for a hard cover. Buy yours today!

 

-          ASES applications for the 2018-2019 school year are now available in the K-2 office after school.

 

-          8th graders: today is the 8th Grade Field Day.  All students should be in their 1st period class.  8th grade leadership students should be in G-2.

 

-          Teachers: if you have an 8th grader on the Library No Activities List, please send them to the Library immediately.  They will remain there for field Day or until they return their books and pay their fines.

 

-          Tomorrow is 8th grade promotion practice.  All 8th graders are to report to their 4th period class at the beginning of school.  Do not got to 1st period, go directly to your 4th period teacher.  If you are promoting with another class still report to your 4th period.

 

-          Remember that every day this week is a minimum day.  Dismissal is at 12:41.

  • The Character Trait for May is Citizenship. Citizenship is the qualities that a person is expected to have as a responsible member of a community.

 

  • Our “Word of the Week” is finale; which means the last part of a piece of music, a performance, or a public event, especially when particularly dramatic or exciting. Welcome to the finale of the 2017-2018 school year.

 

  • Year books are on sale during both lunches in Ms. Angie’s office, room D-4.  Supplies are limited and they are selling out fast. They are $25 for a soft cover and $30 for a hard cover. Buy yours today!

-          Attention 8th grade students.  Please be aware that any more than three days of suspension in the fourth quarter (now) will result in that student will be placed on the “No Activities List” for the remainder of the school year. This will prevent the student from participating in any end of the year activities including, but not limited to:, Promotion Rehearsal, and the Promotion Ceremony.
