TEXTBOOK/LIBRARY BOOK DAMAGE FINES	HOW TO AVOID DAMAGE CHARGES
Broken or torn cover: up to $10	Keep books COVERED at all times with book covers.
Loose binding or spine: up to $10	Never toss or throw books or backpacks.
Missing/damaged barcode: $5	Never leave your backpack unattended.
Writing $1 - $5 per page	Never leave books in the classroom.
Stains or marks $1 - $5 per page	Never trade or loan books out to other students.
Torn pages $1 - $5 per page	Keep all your textbooks in the same safe place, whether you are using them daily in this quarter or they are for the next quarter.
Water damage: ½ cost of the book –full cost of the book	Never carry anything in your backpack that can damage a book. Examples:
Mold: full cost of the book	Water, Soda, Juice, Baby Oil, Hand Lotion, Cologne/Perfume

ONCE YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR TEXTBOOKS

PRINT your FIRST and LAST NAME neatly on the inside cover in INK.

INSPECT your book for damages. Any damages you do not report to the library within FIVE DAYS become your responsibility.

COVER your textbooks with BOOK COVERS! Don’t tape the cover to the inside of the book

BEFORE LEAVING or WITHDRAWING FROM SJMS: Please return all library materials, textbooks, and pay all fines. It is the STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY to clear their library account. Thank you.

LIBROS DE TEXTO/LIBROS DE BIBLIOTECA MULTA POR DAÑOS	COMO EVITAR CARGOS POR DAÑOS
Libros rotos o portada rota hasta $10	Mantén los libros CUBIERTOS en todo momento con coberturas de libros.
Encuadernación suelta en tu libro hasta $10	Nunca tires tus libros o mochilas.
Si no tiene o tiene el código de barra dañado $5	Nunca dejes tu mochila sin tu atención.
Se ha escrito en las páginas $1 - $5 por página	Nunca dejes tus libros en el salón de clases.
Manchas o marcas en el libro $1 - $5 por página	Nunca intercambies o prestes tus libros de texto a otros estudiantes.
Páginas rotas $1 - $5 pro página	Mantén todos tus libros de texto en un lugar seguro, ya sea que los estas usando este trimestre o los vas a necesitar el próximo.
Daños por agua ½ del precio del libro– el precio total del libro	Nunca cargues en tu mochila algo que podría dañar tus libros. Por ejemplo:
Daño por moho el precio total del libro	Agua, soda, jugos, aceite de bebe, loción de manos, perfume

UNA VEZ QUE HAYAS RECIBIDO TUS LIBROS DE TEXTO

ESCRIBE tu NOMBRE y APELLIDO claramente en el interior de la portada con TINTA.

INSPECCIONA tus libros por si tienen algún daño. Cualquier daño que no se informe a la biblioteca dentro de CINCO DÍAS se convertirá en tu responsabilidad.

¡CUBRE tus libros de texto con forro! No peguen el forro con cinta adhesiva dentro del libro

ANTES DE SALIR O RETIRARSE DE SJMS: Favor de devolver todos los materiales de la biblioteca, libros de texto, y pagar cualquier multa pendiente. Es RESONSABILIDAD DEL ESTUDIANTE resolver cualquier cuenta pendiente con la biblioteca. ¡Gracias!
