2022-2023 Athletic Information

 
If you are interested in trying out for or competing in a competitive sport at Jackman during the 2022-2023 school year, please read the following.
 
  • All forms must be complete and turned in to the Athletics Director (Mr. Q) BEFORE a student may tryout, practice, or compete.
  • The bottom half of the Sports Physical form must be completed by a Health Care Provider (MD, DO, PA, or NP.)
    • ALL PHYSICAL EXAMS MUST BE DATED AFTER JUNE 1ST, 2022.
 
A new packet must be completed and submitted for each school year in which you want to participate in athletics.
 
Only one packet is necessary each year, even if participating in multiple sports.

7th/8th Grade COED Track & Field
 
7th/8th Grade COED Wrestling (Oct. - Jan)
 
 
7th Grade Boys Basketball (Jan. - Feb.)
 
 
7th Grade Girls Basketball (Jan. - Feb.)
 
 
The above dates are tentative and subject to change. All teams will practice at SJMS and will complete against other middle school students within the district both on and off site. Transportation to off-site games is the responsibility of parents/guardians unless otherwise noted. All student-athletes must be picked up immediately following both practices and competitions.

Competitive Sports Guidelines

Any student-athlete who wishes to participate in an athletic activity in the Elk Grove Unified School District must meet the following requirements:
 
  • Have earned a “C” average (2.0 GPA) with no Fs in their overall district academic program for the grade of record prior to their participation and for each succeeding grade of record of progress report during participation.
  • Meet standards of satisfactory citizenship (No Us.)
  • Have a satisfactory attendance record as defined by Board Policy.
