AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is more than an elective, it's a community that challenges students to dream bigger, work harder, and believe in what they're capable of achieving.

For many students, AVID is where confidence begins. Students learn how to think critically, ask meaningful questions, organize their work, communicate with confidence, and prepare for college and careers long before they graduate high school.

Whether a student dreams of becoming a doctor, teacher, engineer, entrepreneur, artist, or anything in between, AVID helps provide the tools to get there.

Our students explore college campuses, learn about admissions, discover financial aid opportunities, and begin thinking about the future years before they apply.

By seeing colleges in person and hearing from professionals in many different careers, students gain confidence that higher education is achievable.

Students learn to express their ideas clearly through writing across all subjects.
